All races eventually end. Unfortunately, unlike a motor race where there is a clear winner, the race to end the Government shut down doesn’t have a clear winner. The good news, however, is that it’s over. So now that we’re on the other side of the shut down, how did this one play out?

Based on the sell-off in global stocks on Thursday, the markets are telling us that a potential government shutdown must be a big deal. While it certainly could be for those government workers that wouldn’t have a job to report to during a shutdown, most people will have a hard time noticing a change.
